In an unspecified place reminiscent of purgatory, three former dictators wait and occupy their time, each in their own way. Adolf paints self-portraits, while Benito and Joseph play chess with pieces of the same color on both sides of the board. A 4th character pays them a visit. Who is this character? What's he doing among these 3 leaders? Based on historical facts, this darkly humorous and in some ways absurd play asks us about our humanity, our relationship with memory, and the different faces of dictatorship.
